In the Book of Jonah, there are two distinctive disconnections between his faith and love to Jehovah. The first one is quite obvious; he simply changed his mind and doubted whether or not, his god’s command would be applicable over the people of foreign lands, i.e. the Assyrians. He had literally no idea to deal with this situation of spreading the message that Jehovah knew everything about those violent people and His words were true enough to be believed and followed. The second point in this discussion comes over with the fact that being a prophet, he did not show the true skills of a leader i.e. he simply ran away from the situation, regardless of the fact that Jehovah was always there to save his life. It was just a matter of time and patience which is failed to show at the right time and found it co
ect when Jehovah saved his life.
    When Christian leaders cease to live their life by the call of God and to their neighbors, the result is chaos to them. Taking the reference of Book of Jonah, it was not just the doubt over Jehovah’s command that he did not wish to fulfill. It was simply the call of his own conscience that he had done something wrong and he should go back and accept it. the same can be understood with the fact that only leaders bear the cost of their actions because they are the torch bearers of truth and knowledge and they cannot run away from their religious liabilities.
