In this globally competitive era with internet and information reaching every nook and corner of the world to the last mile, it becomes very complex for organisations to execute a strategic approach in international management. The challenge comes when different cultures of various countries react differently to similar marketing activities and have differing choices for various products and services. Moreover, if the political economy of the country is different, the entire strategic approach changes. 
With growing Islam population in few countries of the world, the strategy for middle eastern market is very different and challenging for multinational management by the firms. Many brands are targeting Islamic population, and by that, we not only mean people living in Islamic countries but also the Islamic audiences living in developed countries. According to a study in 2015, Islam has about 1.8 billion followers, numbering up to 24% of the world’s population (Dr Temporal, 2011). Such a large sect cannot be ignored by brands even though religion and branding are never outspoken in crude format in the so-called marketing and advertising world.
