Two risk factors that increase the risk for cardiovascular disease are high blood pressure and socioeconomic status. To reduce chances of increased blood pressure we can participate in physical activity, be wary of our salt intake, and eat healthier nutrition. High blood pressure is genetic and can impact the people around us, especially family. It can negatively affect your mental health through anxiety and lifestyle choices such as having reduced energy which can cause physical limitations. Reducing non-modifiable risk factors implies healthy lifestyle habits replacing those genetically or hereditarily inclined towards risk. I would like to explain it with an example, a person having a family history of heart disease must also ensure the maintenance of healthy weight, a balanced diet, regular exercises, and no smoking. Routine screenings and check-ups are also significant in connection with early diagnosis and prevention.
One of the greatest things anyone can do to improve their risk modifications is to quit smoking. There are many ways to help people quit: using nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs), prescription...
