Implementing electronic health records in hospitals
Background
EHR system is implemented by various hospitals, practitioners, and pharmacists etc. to integrate the patient’s data, so it is readily available in precise manner as and when required. It also aims to change the doctor – patient relation to one where patient details are shared by team of experts to being about effective treatment. Thus it is necessary to to develop an effective EHR system also keeping cost under consideration.
Hospital structure is different than that of other corporates due to its nature of working and various experts involved. Thus this makes EHR implementation a complex procedure.
