Instruction.
Discussion boards are used to apply what you have learned while interacting with classmates. This may involve research and a higher level of thinking.
Each student is responsible for posting to each discussion board at least twice; one post must be in response to the discussion topic and one point must be in response to another student’s post. The contribution should be meaningful and facilitate the ongoing discussion. Responses should not repeat what another student stated without adding additional thoughts or ideas. Be sure to read all the posts that have gone before so that contributions are not redundant.
Points will be given based on the quality of the response, not necessarily the quantity; although, each post should be at least five original, meaningful, good quality sentences long. Students may post as often as they like, but only the first two posts are graded. These two posts can earn a maximum of 10 points each, for a maximum of 20 points per discussion board.
Discussion : My truth I Advertising law?
Respond to this students post.
I do not have any instance where social media has affected someone I know negatively. I believe my circle of friends and family have not been affected because we are careful and more resisting to influences on social media. My family does not use social media as often. The times they do use it is when they want to text, call, or video call with family relatives. That being the main reason they're not affected as much. Also, my circle of friends do not let what they see or experience impact them greatly. They have a strong sense of confidence in their body image and are cautious to not let something affect them negatively.
The law I would create is to prohibit any alteration of body images altogether in advertisement. If we remove alterations, we could increase the self-esteem and confidence in people by showing more realism. This would motivate people by showing it can be attainable like wanting muscle. By putting in the work we can aim to achieve it and not be diverted by unrealistic expectations. Also, it would also reduce any mental health problems body perception can cause like anxiety, depression, or pressure to change your appearance. The removal of edited body image in advertising can show a new realistic standard for beauty and increase self-acceptance in one’s body image.
