The health care reform debate is not a new one. The plan for a national system was a Hillary Clinton platform when she was First Lady. The notion lost steam and was placed on the back shelf until the election of President Obama. During President Obama's presidency, the debate for the need of a national plan has heated up considerably. It is incumbent on us all to become as informed about health care reform as possible because it affects us, our family, and loved ones.

List and briefly describe 3 of the recommendations for health care reform from experts, interest groups, etc.

The three recommendations for health care reform from experts, interest groups, etc are:
1) Health insurance coverage should form an integral part of health care reform. As per the experts and interest groups, health insurance coverage assumes to play crucial role in ensuring accessibility of health care services to all categories people. The country, i.e., is not filled or characterised with high income people as it represents mixed set of low and middle income people. The provision of health insurance coverage provides comprehensive tool in the hands of policy makers as it facilitate low income population group to afford treatment of acute and chronic illness. It is worth mentioning that health insurance coverage provides a convenient mode of financing to pay for the treatment of chronic and acute illness therefore proves to be of significant helpful of low income people. 
2) Health care reform should include changes in the benefits, structure, administration and the delivery system. The effectiveness of health care reforms should be evaluated and measured on all these grounds and it is necessary that health care package should address and include all these elements. As a part of it, payment structure of hospitals should be revised and introduced with substantial cuts as a means to provide subsidies to low income families (Lee, 2014). 
3) For improving accessibility and health care coverage, it is also recommended that health care reform should approach and target children. As identified, health care reform, usually targets adults, middle age and high age group people. But, children at low level families are highly vulnerable to illness. Health care reform should include children through providing and imparting them with necessary education and awareness for fighting with illness and diseases (Luce and Elixhauser, 2012).
