I vividly remember the day when the world change. It was a gloomy Monday in March 2020 when the announcement came a global pandemic had taken our lives that would never be the same. Little did I know that this moment would become the defining chapter of my life forever h in my memory.
The bustling city transformed into a desolate landscape. The streets that were once filled with laughter and charter were now erringly silent. The pandemic force to the entire globe into an isolation of confining us within the four walls of our homes. In amidst of uncertainty and fear I found solace in connecting with others virtually. Virtual and social media platforms became my lifeline and allowing me to stay connected with my loved one’s despite to the physical distance. These virtual gatherings were extremely resilient and enhanced my human spirit. Laughter a chord through the screens comforting us in the face of adversity.
One particular evening stands out vivid in my mind. It was a human summer evening with the sun casting its golden hues across the city’s skyline. The pandemic had already confined me into the walls of my apartment for months leaving me longing and depressed for a taste of freedom. That evening as I stood by the window a single moment and folded before my eyes a sight that would forever shape the person that I am today. It was a family outside who walked hand in hand and their mask hiding their smiles yet their eyes radiated the warmth and the connection. Laughter filled the air as children chased each other and their innocent giggles echoing through the streets. It was a simple scene and one that I had taken for granted before the world changed.
