As per economics, oil being a relatively inelastic product tends to directly impact the prices of its products such as diesel and gasoline. They are also considered to be complementary goods in economics (Lewis, 2021).

As a result, the price of the restaurant meals will also rise which will cause the demand for restaurant meals to fall.
