Case management in healthcare refers to the combines’ process of planning, processing and monitoring the health care that are given to a patient by a group of healthcare providers. It is designed for meeting the requirements of a customer along with controlling the cost of the organization. This assignment deals with the case management of Envita Medical Center, USA. The shortfalls in the case management have been identified and suitable recommendation for dealing with such shortfalls has also been provided.

The case management system of Envita Medical Center, USA is one of the best in that region. There are sufficient emergency rooms to deal with urgent situation. Although, the medical center specializes in treatment of a cancer, the patients are provided all types of healthcare service. In order to deal with emergencies, specialists have been appointed by the unit. Suitable plans are developed with respect to each patient to ensure the best service is provided to the patients. Based on the results of various tests, specialized doctors prepare the plan that indicates the routine of the patient and the manner in which the treatment of that patient will progress. 
Due treatment is provided to the patient as per the framed plans. The treatment process is monitored on a regular basis to ensure that the best service is provided to the patients. Due focus is paid on provided treatment to patient suffering from cancer. Patients suffering from other diseases are provided basic treatment and then referred to other healthcare units. This saves the total cost, as the unit does not have to invest in procuring machines for all types of diseases. According to Grover, Crawford and Close (2016), the case managers are liable if the patient faces any issue in the quality of service.
